Love's as Old as Time

1.
He wasn’t the first and

Neither were the Pagans to

Celebrate the power of human love.

Since the commencement of time we have

Fought, suffered and died for the joy of this

Abstract connection between two souls, mortal or not.

Though Valentines famous note has been commercialised tenfold,

We must not forget the inherent enchantment the day is all about.

2.
Slanging matches,

Poisoned glares,

Sulking silences,

More grunts than groans.

But to last over 50 golden years there

Must be something special underneath.
